Businesses encouraged to Stay Safe This Winter

Post by Wirral Council News » Fri Nov 19, 2021 12:08 pm

Local companies will be receiving a pack outlining five easy steps to make their business ready for winter this week. The pack contains the latest COVID-19 guidance and aims to help reduce the strain on Wirral's business sector as the borough prepares for another winter during the pandemic.

Director of Public Health for Wirral Julie Webster said: 'I want to extend a massive thank you to businesses for their support and commitment since the pandemic began. Reducing the spread of COVID-19 and keeping staff, suppliers and customers well, will help businesses to remain open, supporting our communities and local economy.'

The pack includes the latest health and safety advice, as well as guidance for businesses to review their risk assessments. There will also be posters to display and a link to a website where they can download resources for their social media accounts.

Businesses are also being encouraged to sign up to the champions' network. Community Champions are kept up-to-date with the latest official advice and guidance, which they are encouraged to share to employees, customers and loved ones, to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
