Wirral’s central libraries are promising ‘witches, ghosts and things that go bump in the night’ when renowned storyteller, John Kirk, comes to the borough on Halloween.

In his inimitable style, John will be telling a range of spooky stories to children aged between five and nine during four separate performances on Thursday 31st October.

The schedule is as follows:-

10am – Wallasey Central Library
11.30am – West Kirby library
2pm – Bebington Central library
3.30pm – Birkenhead Central library
Children are encouraged to come along dressed in their choice of Halloween fancy dress.

Tickets are £1.50 per child and are available from the Ticketsource website. Accompanying adults go free.

John describes himself as a 'performance storyteller'. "This means I have a dynamic and enjoyable style of presentation; I use my face and body to tell stories and like my audience to participate as much as possible," he says. "I love telling stories to young people. I believe that I bring stories to life in fresh and imaginative ways and that in doing so I introduce children to new stories, I get children excited about stories, I encourage listening and participation and I inspire children to read and to create their own stories."
