Wheels for All

Post by Wirral Council News » Fri Mar 15, 2019 12:34 pm

Cycling isn’t just for elite sportspeople. It isn’t even just for the already-fit and active…

A cycling programme with a difference takes place in Wirral’s flagship park every week which gives people, regardless of their age, experience or ability, the opportunity to saddle up and pedal off into the sunset.

The ‘Wheels for All’ programme in Birkenhead Park is an ALL ability cycling session utilising a fleet of adapted bikes; ranging from trikes, quads, recumbents and side-by-sides etc, to standard two-wheelers for you to try in a safe and pleasant setting, with dedicated circuit and session support.

The activities are both physically and mentally stimulating and, above all, fun for everyone involved. They take place on Thursdays between 10am and 3pm and there is supervision at all times. There is scope for further sessions to take place on a Wednesday depending on the level of interest.

Each sessions costs £4 and can be booked with by calling 01925 234213 or visiting Cycling.org.uk.
