Section 3 of our planning permission (Ref: APP/19/00480) states that the external finishes of the extension shall match those of the existing building, but we would like to render the building. The existing house is circa 1950 and we've been told it would be very difficult to match the existing brick to a new brick. Consequently this would make the extension an eye sore. There are several houses in the street with rendered finishes and a recent extension build opposite has a rendered finish.
