Ask your questions about health and care services in Wirral

Post by Wirral Council News » Tue Jan 29, 2019 11:30 am

Tuesday 5th February 2019

Heswall Hall 6:30pm-8:00pm

The organisation that commissions NHS and care services in Wirral is inviting the public to a series of question time events.

Wirral Health and Care Commissioning (WHCC) is a partnership between NHS Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Wirral Council. Since May 2018 the two have been working together to plan, design and commission health and care services for Wirral.

This includes the care people receive at hospitals and in community clinics, social care, and initiatives to improve public health. The partnership allows for better joined up working and better value for the people of Wirral.

From 6:30pm-8:00pm on Tuesday 5th February, the leadership team from Wirral Health and Care Commissioning will be at Heswall Hall to answer questions about how health and care services are commissioned in Wirral, and to listen to views on how services are currently working. The event will be BSL signed.

The 5th February event will begin with an overview of the newly-launched NHS Long Term Plan, followed by questions from the floor and questions submitted in advance. People will then have the opportunity to speak to members of the leadership team on a one-to-one basis over refreshments.

Simon Banks, Chief Officer, NHS Wirral CCG and Wirral Health and Care Commissioning said: “Now that the CCG and Wirral Council are working together, our public question time events offer an even greater opportunity for the people of Wirral to learn more about what we do. Our February event will also focus on the newly-published NHS Long Term Plan, and what it means for Wirral. We always look forward to getting out into the community and hearing from the people we serve.”

The event is open to all, but people are asked to register if possible on the Wirral" target="_blank" title="https://www.wirralccg.nhs.uk/get-involved/engagement-opportunities/public-question-time-events/">Wirral">https://www.wirralccg.nhs.uk/get-involved/engagement-opportunities/public-question-time-events/">Wirral CCG website www.wirralccg.nhs.uk" target="_blank" title="http://www.wirralccg.nhs.uk">www.wirralccg.nhs.uk">http://www.wirralccg.nhs.uk">www.wirralccg.nhs.uk via email WICCG.InTouch@nhs.net" target="_blank" title="WICCG.InTouch@nhs.net">WICCG.InTouch@nhs.net">WICCG.InTouch@nhs.net">WICCG.InTouch@nhs.net or 0151 651 0011 to give an idea of numbers.
