Three Wirral organisations were crowned winners or runners up at the Merseyside Independent Business Awards, held on 18 October at the Titanic Rum Warehouse.
Bromborough-based education consultancy Hi-Impact Agency walked away with the award for Best Creative Business on the night (for the third time!) while Wallasey mental health charity The Open Door Centre won the Community Impact Award.
Women’s charity Tomorrow’s Women Wirral, based in Birkenhead, were highly commended at the ceremony.
Cllr Angela Davies, Cabinet Member for Jobs and Growth, said:
“I’m thrilled to see Wirral organisations being recognised for their expertise, and I’d like to congratulate those who were shortlisted and won awards.
"With so many start-ups and long-standing companies achieving success in their fields, Wirral is showing the City Region that it’s a great place to do business.”
Organised and hosted by Morecrofts Solicitors and sponsored by Liverpool BID Company, the Merseyside Independent Business Awards were founded in 2013 to platform and celebrate independent business, their owners, and those who support them.
The judging for the awards takes place over two days with two different judging panels.
The panels change slightly each year and are made up of eight respected and experienced professionals from the Liverpool City Region - each from different backgrounds including PR, professional businesses, creative businesses, trade businesses, community foundations and more.
