Voter registration advice for Wirral residents

Postby Wirral Council News » Fri Jul 27, 2018 3:32 pm

Households across Wirral will soon be receiving forms requesting them to check and update their details on the electoral register.

The forms are being delivered from this week to every home in Wirral as part of the annual voter registration canvass.

The aim is to make sure the electoral register for Wirral is as up to date as possible and encourage people to make sure they are registered to take part in local and national elections and to be able to vote.

Kate Robinson, Wirral’s Electoral Services Manager, said: “If you want to vote then you have to be on the electoral register. This is your chance to make sure your voice is heard whenever an election is held.

“We are asking people to check the form when it arrives and make sure that they respond as quickly as possible.

“If you’re not currently registered, your name will not appear on the form and the easiest way to register is to go online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote, or we will send you information explaining how to do this.

If you have any questions about the electoral register, contact the electoral registration team at Wirral Council on 0151 691 8046.
