Wirral Mayor Cllr Geoffrey Watt raised the flag in support of our armed forces as the borough marked Armed Forces Day.
The Armed Forces Day flag was raised outside Wallasey Town Hall.
Armed Forces Day, on Saturday June 30, is a chance for people to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community - including serving troops, service families, veterans and cadets.
The day is also an opportunity to raise public awareness of the contribution made to our country by those who serve and have served in HM Armed Forces.
Members of 234 Squadron RLC, a local Army Reserve unit based at Chetwynd Barracks on Wexford Road in Oxton, joined the Mayor at the town hall to raise the flag.
