External links (eg Wirral Globe) will now open in a separate window/tab, hopefully I will get uploaded pictures to do this as well soon.

Media button now available at top of posting editor for youtube videos etc

Just put youtube URL in between the two media tags it puts on post (works best if its on its own line).

Added "View Unread Topics" at top-left-ish to all pages to enable quicker navigation.

If anyone wants anything else like this improving, get in touch please.

Experimental - may change

Many topic titles were getting truncated so I have increased topic title maximum length from 60 to 80.

When you click on thumbnail pictures, they now open in a new tab/window which you can close. I prefer this to the old way of having to use the browser "back", let me know if you want this the way it was.

Apologies, I am trying to get thumbnail images to display horizontally instead of vertically. Any attachments may open in a separate tab/window or might open in the same tab as the forum (and you have to use "back" to get back to the forum.

I'm hoping to sort this out once and for all in the next few days.

All attachments and links now open in the same window again, to return to the forum use the "back" button on your browser.

Topic title lengths have been increased to 140 characters to match tweet lengths in twitter, this change means a small number of posts with long titles will be repeated.

Recently a TRFC thread was created, we also now welcome John Brace's blog posts to the forum.

The internet being like it is, this forum is continually under attack by cyber-criminals. Over the last month or so I have been upping the security on the site to block a considerable amount of "bad" traffic, this has approximately reduced the bandwidth used by 50%. Inevitably there will be some casualties and normal users might be inadvertently blocked, if you have any problems please email admin@wirraltalk.co.uk

I have added "View Active Topics" onto the main menu bar to make it available.

"View Active Topics" is now available to people not logged in, as is the search box in order to make access easier for more people to read the forums.
