One of Wirral’s most popular annual events, will bring some early festive cheer to locals next month giving them a chance to kick start their Christmas shopping, while raising money for cancer research in the region.
The Wirral Bazaar which is now in its 25th year will be the biggest bazaar to date thanks to its new venue the Walled Garden Marquee at Thornton Manor, which will allow it to accommodate 35 stalls. For the first time ever visitors will also have the chance to enjoy a spot of lunch, as well as afternoon tea and cakes, during their festive shopping trip.
From Tuesday November 4th to Wednesday November 5th Thornton Manor will be transformed into a Christmas shopping paradise, with stalls from a variety of exciting UK businesses not found on the high street, covering all aspects of the festive shopping list from wrapping paper to gifts, as well as a selection of locally made produce, cheeses and meats.
There will also be a special treat for visitors in the shape of Wirral’s first Christmas tree of the year. The tree will take pride of place in the entrance to the Bazaar and has kindly been donated by Premier Plants, Ledsham.
Entrance costs £3 and all money raised will be donated to North West Cancer Research (NWCR) Incorporating Clatterbridge Cancer research. Stalls will also donate ten percent of their takings over the two days to the charity.
NWCR is the region’s leading cancer research charity which facilitates cancer research projects across the North West including at nearby University of Liverpool.
